Infrastructure Modernization for a UAE Insurance Provider
An on-premises VDI platform on Sangfor hyper-converged infrastructure, hosted at the client’s main office, giving a new international call center fully functional virtual desktops without deploying separate infrastructure at the remote site.
Client Overview
The client is a UAE-based insurance provider that was setting up a new call center in another country, supporting customer service and policyholder interactions as part of the broader organization. Cosmos Innovative Technology Solutions was engaged to design and deploy the infrastructure that would let that call center operate without a separate IT footprint on the ground.
The Requirement
As the client set up its new call center abroad, it needed a way to provision and manage desktop environments for call center staff without deploying and maintaining physical infrastructure at the remote site itself. Three needs shaped the design:
Centralized Servers
Keep server infrastructure centralized at the client’s main office rather than at the remote site.
Remote Connectivity
Allow call center users abroad to connect into the central infrastructure remotely.
Reliable On-Premises Delivery
Deploy on-premises, with the capacity to reliably host and deliver virtual desktops to users at a separate international location.
The CITS Approach
CITS designed and deployed an on-premises Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution hosted at the client’s main office, using Sangfor HCI/VDI as the underlying hyper-converged platform. Call center users at the international site connect into this centrally hosted infrastructure to access their virtual desktops. This allows the client to keep servers and data on-premises at its main office while still standing up a fully functional call center abroad, without deploying separate infrastructure at the remote location.
Sangfor HCI/VDI platform
An on-premises VDI deployment on a hyper-converged platform hosts the desktops, keeping servers and data centralized at the client’s main office.
Virtual desktops
Each member of staff accesses a virtual desktop from the central platform rather than a locally managed desktop environment.
New call center
Call center users connect remotely into the central infrastructure. No separate infrastructure is deployed at the remote location.

The Outcome
The VDI deployment was delivered and formally closed out, with CITS producing completion documentation confirming successful delivery and handover. Call center staff abroad now operate on centrally hosted virtual desktops.
